Join one of our two-day, non-residential courses and learn the traditional craft of dry stone walling.

Led by our approved DSWA instructors, these hands-on courses are designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to build your very first wall. Whether you’re completely new to the craft or simply curious to try your hand, you’ll soon discover the satisfaction that comes from creating something lasting and beautiful.

You’ll begin with a short introduction and a few essential safety notes before getting straight into practical work. There’s plenty of lifting and manual activity involved, but don’t worry — you’ll never be asked to do more than you’re comfortable with.

Together within the group, you’ll start by laying foundations and then move on to build a section of dry stone wall.

If you have any medical conditions or physical concerns, please let your instructor know beforehand (confidentially), so we can make sure you have the best experience possible.
